Interested In Volunteering at Windy Row?
SERVE ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. The Board of Directors for Windy Row consist of volunteers who care deeply about children and literacy in the Monadnock Region. The Board generally meets once a month. We are actively seeking individuals with writing and/or fund raising skills and/or previous board experience. If you are interested in joining this dynamic, committed group please contact us.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER TUTOR. If you are interested in tutoring, you must attend 45 hours of seminar training in the Orton-Gillingham method and complete a 100 hour practicum of tutoring (4 hours per week for 25 weeks concurrent with the seminars). Seminars are held on Saturdays at the Windy Row Learning Center; tutoring is held during the week (Monday through Thursday) at the Windy Row Learning Center or in some cases, at the student’s school. This is the same training that our paid tutors complete. By volunteering, as a tutor, you are helping children who could not otherwise afford our services.
